Meet Edmond

Edmond is a proven public servant with the experience, integrity, and dedication New Yorkers deserve on the Civil Court bench.

Edmond currently serves as a Court Attorney-Referee in Queens County Surrogate’s Court, under the leadership of the Honorable Cassandra A. Johnson, where he handles complex estate matters that deeply impact families during one of the most difficult times of their lives. He previously served as Associate Court Attorney in Queens County Civil Court, gaining firsthand experience in the very court he now seeks to serve - the People’s Court.

Before entering public service, Edmond began his legal career as a real property and guardianship attorney, litigating cases in both state and federal courts. He knows the law from every angle: as an advocate, as a court attorney, and as a quasi-judicial officer.

A proud graduate of New York City public schools, Edmond attended Benjamin N. Cardozo High School before earning his undergraduate degree from Hofstra University and his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law.

Edmond is a first-generation American and the son of immigrants from Hong Kong. Like so many families in Queens, his parents instilled in him the values of compassion, honesty, and service to others. Those values guide his work every day.

If elected to the New York City Civil Court, Edmond will bring experience and an unwavering commitment to equal justice under the law. He will treat every person who enters his courtroom with dignity and respect because justice in New York City must work for everyone.
